The “IDEAL (give-a) WAY” EVENT, where we, really, gave it away, the IDEAL WAY… FOR FREE!
Our 1st Annual IDEAL (give-a) WAY event on Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Royal Canadian Legion Branch 210, 110 Jutland Rd. in Etobicoke was a distinguished success!! The needs of approximately 225 individuals were served. An estimated $38,000 of donated, new and gently used, merchandise went home with these exceptional individuals. Seeing the many happy faces shopping for FREE was pure joy… and their delighted reactions were often priceless! To say that the experience was one which the IDEAL-WAY.ca team will never forget is a masterpiece of understatement.

Our dedicated ideal volunteers are an exciting and dynamic group of individuals, several of whom themselves share intellectual disability, that joined our team in a spirit of inclusion to contribute their valuable time and talent to improving the lives of all persons with intellectually disability. To them, a special thanks for your hard work to help make our First Annual “IDEAL (give-a) WAY” event such a wonderful success. More than one observer commented that the event was “very professionally run.” and “very well organized”. This enriching experience has left you feeling the personal satisfaction of helping others in your community. IDEAL-WAY.ca could not have done it without you!
